 | Port La Galere Details At 15th km. on west form Cannes, a private condominium on 23 hectares, planted with exotic trees and plants, on the seafront.
The complex is built since 1970 and offers with the apartments 3 private beaches, a private port, 2 swimming pools, one with fresh water, one with seawater*, 2 tennis courts, a club house with some guest rooms, bar, restaurant, with diner dansant once a week during the summer.

Port la Galere consists of a number of individually unique buildings in nearly 60 acres of lush tropical gardens with pools and everything you need for a great holiday. Golf and all sorts of adventures and pleasures are available nearby.

THE SETTING :
We had never imagined buying an apartment down here until we found Port la Galere - a wonderfully sophisticated "domaine" set between the Corniche d'Or and the sea itself and consisting of a number of differently shaped buildings set in nearly 60 acres of lush tropical gardens. The original design in 1970 was by Jacques Couelle, a pupil of Gaudi - so there's hardly a straight line in sight! Pierre Cardin has property on the domaine.
Why were we inspired by it?
Apart from the exciting visual aspect of the architecture and the surroundings, it is very secure (fenced and guarded) so children can wander around freely and meet others. There are tennis courts, a fitness centre, 3 private (rocky) beaches, 2 huge swimming pools (one heated in winter), a marina, elegant bars and two excellent restaurants, all in the atmosphere and style of a private club ( www.clubportlagalere.com ). In high season there are fantastic special evenings by the pool once a week.
THE APARTMENT:
is an elegantly furnished apartment with a private terrace and a fabulous sea view. The living room has a comfortable seating area, a digitalTV with DVD player and iPod doc station. There is also a dining table and chairs. French doors lead from the living room to the large terrace with outdoor dining furniture.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and all the utensils you'd need for elaborate cooking
On the same level is a double (fourposter) bedroom and a shower room/WC designed in the spirit of Gaudi. The bedroom also has sea views.
